I come here on a weekly basis when it's early in the morning or I feel like I should get stuff out. I live vicariously through Marlot and find myself sketching paragraphs in the middle of physics class. I've cut huge chunks off the ends of the entries, mainly because I'm unsure of something and afraid they'll be portrayed incorrectly, or just because I don't like to be judged.

I take this seriously, but only to an extent. This journal is primarily for my own sanity.

The rest of the day was a blur. A boring, useless, when-will-anyone-ever-use-magnetic-field-lines-in-life(-and-I'm-still-partially-hungover-from-Saturday-night) blur.

"Hey, I just have to find my shoes." A usual morning, beginning with Dee running late. Marlot closed her cell phone and turned to Jenny, who was in the passenger seat.

"I'll go get her," said Marlot. She knew after a lengthy friendship with Dee that "finding my shoes" would take much longer than you'd think. Marlot walked towards the front door, hearing her car doors lock automatically behind her, and let herself in. Everything was quiet, except the trifling squeaks from Jack, the parakeet Dee had since the 7th grade; the one she saved up all her Christmas money for and now, five years later, tried to set him free in her spare time, which was more humane than her older brother's attempt at feeding him painkillers.

Just bodies, no feelings. Half a pack of cigarettes later, she was finally in the mood. Her nose, still very sensitive from the last two lines. They stumbled from the couch to an empty bedroom. The voices in the apartment were hushed as Randy shut the door behind them. He wrestled with Marlot's dress for a second, his drunken hands trying to undress her as fast as humanly possible. Just bodies, no feelings.

"Think I'm drunk enough to drive you home now.
I'll keep my mouth kept shut
under lock and key that's rusted firm, no lie
'cause all these conversations wind on and on."
